This beautiful classic Ocean City single family home dates back to the 1800’s and was owned by Rev Alexander Corson of the famed Corson family. Whalers for whom Corson inlet was named in the 1600’s. This Historic home lies in the desirable North End bordering the Garden district with a short walk to beach and boardwalk.
Open and Airy Farmhouse coastal decor, 10 guests max.
First Floor:
Front living room: 48 inch Smart tv, sofa & two chairs
Dining room: Table seats 6
Family room with 65 inch Smart tv, queen size sleeper sofa, walk in closet, and attached full bathroom with tub and shower.
(Often used as a 4th bedroom for grandparents)
French doors lead to deck, side yard and brick patio. Garden area with edible herbs and vegetables. Enjoy fresh tomatoes, basil, lemongrass, mint, rosemary, lavender and other assorted herbs during your stay.
Kitchen:
Stainless steel Bosch dishwasher, microwave, toaster, keurig and coffee maker, pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils, dish towels and pot holders.
Laundry Room:
Front load HE washer and dryer, stainless steel refrigerator and a large pantry cabinet.
Second floor: 3 Bedrooms 1 full bath

The third floor is perfect for them. Inside staircase access as well as additional separate entrance.

Back Bedroom has 1 full size bed and front bedroom has two twin beds.
Small living room area with 40 inch smart TV.
Kitchen has a microwave, toaster and coffee pot. Pots and Pans and cooking and eating utensils
Bathroom has small tub but no shower. (Third floor uses outside enclosed shower.)
The third floor deck has an outdoor love seat and coffee table.
This is an 1800’s house. Though greatly cared for, she does show her age in some places. Expect to find some loving wear, Gingerbread awaiting a skilled repairman and quirkiness both on the inside and outside. Cracks are inevitable in plaster lath walls from pile driving with new development. Each year we do a large restoration project but until every piece is finished, Expect dated flooring, cabinets etc. In the meantime the price is reflected accordingly. This house is not appropriate for infants, toddlers, or very active children.
Absolutely no senior week, no parties, no extra guests past the 10 person max .
This home is a lot like a bed and breakfast in Cape May.
Perfect for the guest who appreciates bike rides, enjoying a cup of coffee on the front porch and relaxing with their favorite book.
Home is pet friendly FOR THE RIGHT WELL TRAINED PET. ($75 per pet cleaning fee two pets max) Dogs must be fully housebroken. Sorry, No chewers, Puppies or senile dogs with bladder problems. We reserve the right to exclude any animal that may be a danger to neighbors or guests, those that may be non allowed by our homeowners insurance or any animal that poses a known risk to the home.
Our home is not appropriate for pets, children Or adults who leave messes, disturb neighbors, scratch or break furniture or leave wet towels on furniture. If you know your family is rough on homes, this house is not for you. (ALL PETS AND ANIMALS OF ANY KIND MUST BE DISCLOSED AHEAD OF TIME. EVEN SERVICE ANIMALS.)

What we lack in an updated kitchen and second floor bathroom are more than made up for by the full lot fenced and shady side yard, numerous porches and decks and comfy reading nooks.

Policies
CANCELLATIONS - RENTERS can only cancel their reservation in writing. OWNER reserves the right to hold all deposit monies paid if RENTER does not return a signed lease with deposit or if RENTER defaults on deposit payments. ( RENTER is given a three day grace period to correct the default and pay monies due. Property is considered available for rent to others until full 50% deposit and signed lease is received by owner. Property is considered available for rent to others if RENTER defaults on deposit payments and does not correct the default during the three day grace period. If the RENTER cancels the reservation before the Check-in date, The OWNER will make every attempt to book another reservation for the same time period. If the Rental Property is re-booked at the same rate or greater, RENTER will receive a full refund of the amount paid minus a 15% service fee to re-list and rebook the property.
We strongly encourage RENTER to purchase Travel Insurance along with their reservation. A ‘Cancel for any Reason’ Travel Insurance Policy protects the RENTER’S investment in the event of unexpected and catastrophic events.
RATES - subject to change until reservation is confirmed with deposit.
No senior week, prom weeks, or parties are allowed. The primary renter must be 25 years old and send proof of ID at initial signing. The unit must be occupied by the primary renter during the entire time it is rented. The following rules are strictly enforced:
No Smoking tobacco, marijuana or vaping on the property, medicinal or for pleasure. A person the age of 25 years or greater must accompany minors on the property at all times.
Any violation will result in termination of lease without refund of money paid.
A 50% deposit is required to book your reservation. An additional 25% is due within 45 days of lease signing. The remaining 25%, security deposit and any pet fee will be due 45 days prior to arrival. ( If lease is to begin within 45 days of signing, payment is due in full at lease signing.) $75 for up to two allowable pets/animals fee.
This is a smart home with keyless entry and door security cameras. There are no cameras inside the home but there are motion detectors for the security system in the off season. Tampering of teh security system or smoke detectors will result in immediate termination of your lease without refund of money paid.
A 50% deposit is due within 3 days of making your reservation. The remaining 50% and security deposit will be due 45 days prior to arrival.
Home is perfect for families who appreciate a classic Historic Ocean City Home or Bed and breakfast style homes. Not really suitable for children under the age of 7. Not suitable for toddlers or very active children.

Family vacation
The house, town, neighbors, hostess were awesome. My son,daughter in law, granddaughter and our family dog had our best family vacation EVER. The kids (40 ish) had their own apartment on the third floor. We had family time and privacy. No one got on my last nerve because there was so much room to move. Shamus our dog had the fenced in yard to be free. We took him to the dog Beach. We rode bikes, rode the waves and did the water park and walked the boardwalk and streets. So many good restaurants and reasonably priced.

Beautiful House
Beautiful house and yard on a quiet residential lot in the Gardens. Perfect for a family and the family dog. We loved the history, antiques and accommodations at Helen’s place. Central location, close to restaurants, farmers market, ice cream, and a short walk to the beach. Helen was kind, and she was responsive to inquiries and questions. We will be booking our stay again next summer.

Holly, It was a pleasure sharing my home with your family. It was rewarding seeing your girls get so excited with their rooms and the house. Teens aren't normally that engaged so I really loved sharing the history and cool quirks with them. Since your stay I learned that Alexander Corsen who owned my house directly before my grandparents was indeed a direct descent of the original Corson's inlet family. Your daughter the historian might enjoy learning about that. I'm glad you were able to experience so many of activities of the north end and really look forward to having you as our guests again in the future.
Spacious and Affordable classic beach house
I am thrilled we found this classic Ocean City Gem! We’ve been coming to Ocean City for years and always rented really close to the beach. We decided to try a little farther back and we are so glad we did!
The house is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood but surrounded by great restaurants and still easy walking distance to the beach.
We fit 4 cars in the private parking behind the house and rode our bikes everywhere. They even have a shed for bikes and beach gear.
There were 8 of us and multiple places where we could hang out together or sneak away to read a book or watch tv on our own.
This house has 2 living rooms and even 2 kitchens!
Our teens loved the third floor.
The kitchen is older but has plenty of cabinet room. This house was immaculately clean and is anything but cookie cutter.
Beautifully decorated, open and airy with numerous cozy nooks. Kind of reminded me of old Key West and Hemingway… we loved our stay at 21 Asbury Ave. We’ll be back.

Just sharing my wonderful time in Ocean City NJ.
We normally rent in Boardwalk area but the house was sold. We needed a pet friendly and we saw this lovely single family house. We were incredibly excited to learn it even had a fenced yard! Though it was larger than we thought we needed it was less money than a 3 bedroom condo. Everyone got to have their own room. ( another rarity) While it is an old house, it was even better than described and the owners seem to be doing restoration projects each year. ( hoping it doesn’t get too pricey.)
It was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. We loved relaxing on the massive porch and in the yard. It was really nice having our dogs with us and we really enjoyed our daily in the neighborhood. The owner Helen even had a fresh herb garden which we enjoyed cooking with.
She was attentive to our needs and even gave a thorough tour so we knew how everything worked.
We will absolutely be back!

Rare Find in OC!
Spacious home on double lot with fenced-in side yard for both our dog and family bbq's. We loved gathering on the large front porch for a morning coffee or afternoon read. Great location for all the activities my family enjoys in OC. The Hosts are terrific! We look forward to renting again next season.

Lacked Cleaniness, Privacy and Dangerous
I rented this property for my aging parents, who owned a home in OC for decades. My family was not granted access to the rental until 11:30 PM, hours after scheduled check-in, we were requested by the owner to wait out front. Upon entry the home was not clean. The entire first floor smelled of urine. The refrigerator was full of rotten food. Appliances, including oven not cleaned, third floor kitchen is not usable. No access to decks by the owner, stated not safe. Internet and air conditioning not functional.

As was told to you before you arrived my cleaner ghosted me and when you arrived we had the first of two cleaning teams that cleaned the home to your complete satisfaction. Your review is simply not truthful. The deck was brand new and perfectly safe. As you had 10 or more teens in the home I was clear that the deck was not suitable for parties or large numbers of teens hanging out. I wasn't even finished checking you in when even more teens arrived that weren't part of your group. I was alerted by the neighbors that week one seemed to be have become the party house.
We had to get the tech out to get the internet and whole house alarm system working again as your teen guests had disabled the smoke detectors to smoke in the house. ( The cleaners and neighbors reported the whole house reeked of marijuana and neighbors reported your guests climbing out the windows to smoke. I had an astronomical electric bill just from your two weeks as your guests had the AC on and windows open) Your disabling of the fire alarm system resulted in the fire department being called when you burned something in the house at 1 am.
Cleaners reported you burning a candle on my brand new sofa, extra unreported guests, broken and missing items. ( I have photos of all the damage if anyone wants to see them.) My neighbors, my cleaner, my handyman, my tech and even the police advised me I should have ended your lease early. I am not a confrontational person and let a lot of things slide with you. Luckily week two went much smoother once the teens left and your parents arrived. I have been blessed to have had great renters as evidenced by my reviews. There were many red flags with your rental I should have paid attention to. Next time I will know better.
Nice getaway weekend
I had an amazing experience down at Ocean City. The house was spotlessly clean, with an air magical realism, reminiscent of late 20th century Latin American literature. The renters owners were friendly and so helpful. The property is 5 minutes away from the beach by car. I LOVED the surrounding stores and restaurants and I think I had THE BEST French toast I'll ever have in my life (at the recommendation of the owners). Definitely would rent again!

Awesome and cozy
Awesome old Victorian with comfy and beautifully decorated interior. Two full baths, loads of bedrooms and living/sitting rooms allowed for everyone to enjoy their own space when desired. And all the “outside” extras. I was able to bring my two dogs and they got to enjoy the fenced in side yard. I loved sitting out on the porch and enjoying the breeze. Access to shed to store beach equipment. Outside shower. Everything you could ask from a shore house – at a reasonable rate. I would highly recommend.

I always like to go to the shore in September, when things wind down a bit. This house was perfect for us! Lots of room, clean, and all the amenities you would need! The owner is always there for any questions that come up.
