This bright and beautiful, updated, original OC home in the desirable Gardens/North End section has the perfect blend of location and amenities. With this single family home you do not have to contest with families above or below - it's all yours and comes with multiple off street parking spaces.
You won't find a better home to fully relax and create your own summertime memories. Close to guarded beaches (North, Surf and Atlantic), as well as the surfing beach at Waverly. Enjoy sunrises on the back porch/deck (or front) with your cup of coffee. After the beach, freshen up in the brand new, clean, double door outdoor shower house with a rainfall shower head and enjoy the glorious sunsets on the front porch or deck with a cool beverage and family and friends. Relax. Put your feet up and enjoy the Shore.
The house is ideal for family gatherings, large or extended families or multiple families. Well behaved pets permitted.
The first floor provides a spacious and sun filled front family room with plenty of seating and a TV; sunny dining room with an extra leaf insert for the table to accommodate 8-10, eat in kitchen with coffee maker, toaster oven for morning bagels and afternoon dogs, microwave; a separate back family room/guest suite with attached full bath and pullout Queen sofa, closet, TV with DVD and card table for board games. This room includes access to the large back deck, just above the back patio, which includes a glass topped/umbrella covered table with brand new gas grill.
Upstairs you enjoy four bedrooms: a front master bedroom with a King bed, TV-DVD, and closet, with a separate, sunlit sitting room and access to the front top deck; a middle Queen bedroom with closet; and two back bedrooms, each with a closet, one with a full size bed; the other a twin, with access to the expansive back deck.
The third floor - the Kids Hangout - contains two twin beds and a full size, wooden futon couch/bed, a TV with DVD, and full bath.
As the kids play cards or outside games (we know, WiFi and cable are also here), you can grill out your gourmet meal (burgers and dogs are gourmet, right?), or order local take-out, see reviews below.
If you want to stay in and decompress, do it, there's plenty of room. If you'd like to head to the Rides, it's a leisurely 15 minute walk. This house is perfectly situated, just blocks from the beaches, several restaurants (Cousins, Island Grill, or nestled in the dunes - Northend Beach Grill), two great ice cream parlors (TJ's and Annie's Carousel), two delis/small groceries (Berenatos and Bakelys) and one block to Express Pizza, which offers pizza, stromboli, subs and more. Last but not least is Pesanos, a fantastic variety store that carries everything you've forgotten.
This quiet, one-way, one block, tree-lined street has very little traffic and is just right for families with children. Get back to the times when you were a kid and it was just about having fun and spending time with family and friends. In fact, with the four porches/decks, have plenty of family and friends - make new friends!

Great Home Away from Home
Our family enjoyed staying at this home very much. Loved enjoying a coffee or a seltzer on the front porch. The soft and comfortable kind size bed in the primary bedroom was perfect to lay our head upon after a long day on the north beaches with kids. The front living room was great to relax on and unwind in front of the television while the kids watched their shows in the back living room. The kitchen was perfect to cook some dinner meals with all the necessities. We also enjoyed grilling with friends and fam for a night. Hosts were communicative and helpful! Don’t hesitate to book.

We had a great vacation at this house! The kids loved having the upper level all to themselves. We enjoyed the separate living rooms, provided puzzles, and multiple porches. The location is great; quiet street with easy walk to beach and boardwalk. The 3 off-street parking spaces were a nice bonus. Kitchen is well stocked with all your cooking needs. This house worked great for multi-generational vacation. Owners are very responsive in communication. Would definitely stay in again!

Sonny Shores Great Stay
Truly one of kind 3 story 6 bedroom solid built home in the Garden section of OCNJ. The 3rd story can accommodate 4 people (teenagers in our case) with their own bathroom and very cool air from a separate AC unit upstairs. There are 4 bedrooms on the second floor incl master- all very large, with hardwood floors throughout. The main level has a living room, dining room, kitchen & then a separate bedroom+bathroom or it can double as another hang-out room with an exit to a very nice porch and outdoor shower. It's really a great place to stay, close the restaurants and shops & either a 10min walk to beach or 4 minute bike ride. Would definitely stay there next year when we return. the hosts are extremely generous and very accommodating!

Great family vacation!
My family has been vacationing in Ocean City for over 25 years. We always stayed in the Gardens section of Ocean City, but this was our first time renting a single home. My family, especially our dogs, absolutely loved staying at "Sonny Shores". The house is located on a quiet and relaxing street in a wonderful section of Ocean City. My family found it clean and spacious. We enjoyed eating and grilling in the yard, which you don't find too often in a summer rental. The house was in walking distance to pizza and ice cream which was convenient. Nice neighborhood for walking the dogs. Jay and his family were so gracious, helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful time and made new memories for my family! Definitely plan on staying at "Sonny Shores" again!

EXPERIENCE MATCHED EXPECTATIONS
So as not to mirror the already published plaudits from other previous renters of this wonderful home, just let me offer a few observations of the place gleaned from our time there during the first two weeks of July just past. First, it is as nicely described in the website notes....a whole house of about 1900sf on three floors, which means no occupants stomping around above you, or sharing parking, showers, storage and the like. There are about 3 spaces in front of the house...easy in/easy out. Nice porches (3) to sit, read, yak and/or snack. Outside shower, which we used every day, The house sports several beach chairs, and if you run short, an Sunday nite alley drive will yield at one serviceable unit for use, and, if lucky, an umbrella. The master suite is great, a hall bath adjoining works well, but also services the other hallmate bedrooms. The third floor suite is great for three with bath. The main floor is perfect for entertaining or simply chilling in a family room and front living room. The kitchen is workable, and complete, though I'd recommend you bring a toaster...the one here is a marginal counter oven that is balky, but workable.The main floor bath is a full bath, and is off the family room.
Though about 5 blocks to the nearest beach, this location is out of parking and density crunch of the Monopoly blocks from Brighton to North. We found we could use a chase car which we loaded up in the early AM and parked in the beach block, which saved toting all that stuff down and back. The location of the house is really nice in that it is basically in a more residential area of the Gardens, and out of the madness of midtown.
The owner is very accommodating and will be available electronically to answer questions and advise as needed.
This is a five star choice, folks.
